PulteGroup Purchases Land for First Community in Plantation

PulteGroup, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, has closed on 6.7 acres in Plantation for its first community in that city. The new community, called Emory, will be 86 new townhouses in 4-and 6-unit buildings in Midtown Square, an up-and-coming mixed-use development.

The purchase expands PulteGroup’s presence in the Broward County. With Emory in Plantation, PulteGroup will have 6 communities in Broward County. “Given our strong land pipeline in Broward, we expect to be the market leader here for the next few years,” said Brent Baker, PulteGroup’s Southeast Florida Division President.

In January, the homebuilder announced Cassia Commons, a townhome community in Lauderdale Lakes. It sits next door to Cassia Estates.

“Emory will have an interesting, modern look that complements the lifestyle that Midtown Square offers,” Baker said. “Plantation has very little new construction, so we expect demand to be strong.”

Plantation enjoys a well-deserved reputation for a high quality of life for families with its top-rated charter, magnet and private schools. Emory residents will enjoy dining, shopping, city park and regional library, all within walking distance of their homes. Emory is located at the corner of Cleary Boulevard and American Express Way

The community will be part of a 25-acre development, formerly an American Express office campus, whose plans call for over 24,000 square feet of retail and restaurants. Midtown Square’s location provides easy to access I-595, just a few exits from I-75, I-95, Florida’s Turnpike and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Emory will have an outdoor recreation area with shaded pavilion. Models will start this summer and sales should begin in early 2023.

Prices start in the $400s. Call 954-278-3793 for more information or visit Pulte.com/Emory.

PulteGroup’s Southeast Florida division builds homes from Broward to Vero Beach under the Pulte Homes, DiVosta and Del Webb brands with prices ranging from the $300s to over $1 million.
