The Harford County Association of REALTORS Hosts Blood Drive for Harford REALTORS Care Day

For Harford REALTORS® Care Day, the Harford County Association of REALTORS® (HarCAR) hosted a blood drive with the American Red Cross.

During its annual Harford REALTORS® Care Day HarCAR members volunteer to perform a community outreach project.

The blood drive, which was hosted at the Bel Air Armory, gathered 31 pints of blood that will assist approximately 96 people in need. The event drew many donors including local leaders like Councilman Chad Shrodes.

“Each year I look forward to the Harford County Association of Harford REALTORS® Care Day.  This year with the critical blood supply shortage, there isn’t a better way to give back than giving blood to save lives,” said Councilman Shrodes. “Harford County is all about community.  And the REALTORS® exemplified that by holding this blood drive.  It is a great way to give back,” added Councilman Wagner.

In addition to elected officials and the public, numerous HarCAR leaders also donated blood.

“It was wonderful to participate in the first-ever blood drive for Harford REALTORS® Care Day,” said HarCAR President Heather Schafer Adkins. “Knowing how many people participated and how many people can be helped by this small sacrifice is both heart-warming and rewarding! I would like to thank the Red Cross for all their hard work at this event and their compassion for all us donors! I look forward to the annual continuation of this meaningful contribution to our community by the members of the Harford County Association of REALTORS®.”
