Full-service general contracting firm Winmar Construction has signed a lease with Moore & Associates for approximately 7,000 square feet of space at 2100 Reston Parkway, a seven-story, nearly 170,000 square foot commercial office building situated in Reston, Virginia. Scott Mendelson, Partner and Chief Development Officer, Tenant Advisory Services for Edge, represented the tenant and Daniel Purrington of Moore & Associates represented the landlord in this lease transaction. Winmar Construction recently relocated their corporate headquarters to this building, but will still have a presence in the city at 1010 Wisconsin Ave.
Operating regional offices in Miami and Baltimore, Winmar Construction provides a wide array of construction management and general contracting services to the commercial office, hospitality, retail and restaurant industries and specializes in ground-up, adaptive reuse and tenant build-out activities. FORM Architects provided design services to Winmar Construction in its build-out.
Delivered in 1988, Moore & Associates acquired the asset in 2019 and immediately initiated an improvement strategy that included upgrades to the main lobby, fitness center, conference facility and tenant lounge, as well as adding a new exterior tenant lounge. Featuring floorplates that average approximately 29,000 square feet of space, 2100 Reston Parkway is less than a ten-minute walk to a Metro Silver Line station that is expected to open this year, and less than a four-minute walk to Halley Rise, a mixed-use town center anchored by Wegmans Food Markets. It is also minutes from VA Route 267 (Dulles Access Road) and Washington-Dulles International Airport.
