Six professionals working within the Property Services Division of Edge have recently earned LEED Green Associate certification, joining an international community of more than 200,000 with these credentials. The group includes Ryan Bower, Chief Engineer; Yulia Davlatova, Tenant Services Coordinator; Peggy Hernandez, Senior Property Manager; Christina Martin, Director of Property Management; Scott Peoples, Chief Building Engineer and Elizabeth Shanahan, Senior Property Manager. The Edge Property Services Group provides comprehensive property management and engineering services to building owners and investors in all commercial real estate asset classes.

To earn LEED Green Associate certification, professionals must complete 15 hours of continuing education hours, as administered by Green Building Certification Inc. (GBCI), which follows framework of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

“Companies and employees remain concerned about the health of the buildings they work in, especially as they continue to migrate back to traditional workspaces, and we are committed to fostering eco-friendly environments for our clients,” stated Christina Martin of Edge. “Our Property Services Division has been heavily engaged in the building sustainability and green movement for many years and we continue to seek new ways to educate building owners and tenants. Earning certifications like this important one for our team members provides them with relevant and current information that they can apply directly to the buildings and clients we serve.”

The Property Services Group regularly installs Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization (NPBI) units within the HVAC systems of area buildings, which is a proven method to effectively remove 99.7% of the pathogens in the air and lead to healthier air systems and buildings. The NPBI technology also effectively cleans the evaporator coils on mechanical equipment, which improves operating efficiencies, and reduces equipment downtime and building operating costs.
