Story Residential of Compass Secures Seasonal Housing for Rugby New York

Compass’ Liam Hayden served as Rugby New York’s broker for the 2022 season.

Compass announces that Liam Hayden of the Story Residential Team served as Rugby New York’s realtor for the 2022 season. The New York area’s premier professional rugby organization, which plays in Major League Rugby, worked with Liam to secure housing for players and coaches for the five-month season. The juggernaut team is led by some of the sport’s most recognizable names, including Andy Ellis (former All Blacks player) and Dylan Fawsitt (USA Eagles).

“I am honored to serve the real estate needs of Rugby New York,” said Liam Hayden. “In a market environment with record-low inventory, especially in the short-term lease category, my deep market expertise, access to real-time data, and vast network of contacts were integral to securing 17 units for the team and coaches.”

Liam landed on The Beacon to house Rugby New York — adorned with resort-style amenities and lofty layouts, the residences offer breathtaking views.

“I am grateful to call some of the players and back-office staff friends,” Liam continued. “Rugby New York CEO Ric Salizzo tasked me with securing housing for his team’s 2022 season and Jared Smallwood, who oversees operations for the team, and I went to work. With the help of Tyler Hughes and Sarah Drews from Beacon’s management company, Building and Land Technology, we found the team a home for 2022.

“We wanted to work with a realtor who we trusted to do whatever it took to provide our players with optimal housing for the season,” said Ric Salizzo of Rugby New York.

A Hudson Country, New Jersey resident for over two decades, Liam specializes in residential sales and investments.

Rugby New York calls Hoboken’s JFK Stadium its home field and is currently off to an impressive start. Their season extends through June.
