Madwell Appoints Micah Freedman as Business Director

Full-service creative advertising and marketing agency Madwell has hired Micah Freedman as new business director. In his new role, Freedman guides and oversees the firm’s new business strategy and activities while establishing new meaningful client partnerships.

“Madwell is entering 2022 with significant momentum and big goals,” said David Eisenman, CEO at Madwell. “We’ve brought on Micah in the newly created role of new business director to help us grow. His experience, thoughtfulness, and bespoke approach to building relationships makes him a great fit for our company, and we’re glad he’s on board.”

Madwell has grown steadily from two people in a single room 12 years ago to more than 170 employees spread across three offices globally and a burgeoning remote employee network. The mission was to create a vertically integrated independent agency that could steadily provide consistent cross-medium, cross-channel marketing that emphasizes a balance of multidisciplinary creative thinking, tech innovation, and audience insights for clients looking to challenge their industry.

Prior to joining Madwell, Freedman led new business and client services at marketing agency Ruckus Co. During his four-year tenure, his efforts were instrumental in growing the agency: its revenues doubled and the team headcount grew three times over. Before Ruckus, Freedman launched marketing and partnership initiatives at Saberpoint, an international enterprise technology provider and implementation partner. He worked alongside leading providers such as SAP and AT&T to drive new business and incremental client success.

The name Madwell was inspired by the idea that it’s OK to be mad—crazy mad—to pursue things you shouldn’t have any right to pull off so long as you do it well. The shop’s employees continue their dream of becoming the Willy Wonka of advertising. Verizon, JobsOhio, and life insurance company Everly are Madwell’s top three clients.
