The Highlands School to Hold its Mind Jump Summer Program

The Highlands School announced that it will host its successful Mind Jump summer academic program. Now in its 26thyear, Mind Jump is a five-week summer program that helps students get a jump start on the demands of the upcoming school year.

This year, Mind Jump will run from June 27th to July 29th and is open to rising 2nd through 9th graders. The half-day program helps students improve skills in reading comprehension, written expression, multisensory phonics, mathematics and more.

“We were so thrilled with our son’s academic improvement through Mind Jump that it led us to enroll him in The Highlands School full time,” said a lower school parent. “What really takes Mind Jump and The Highlands School to the next level is that our son grew and evolved academically, but also as a person. His confidence has grown since being a part of The Highlands School.”

Mind Jump incorporates a structured, sequential, and individualized approach to education that is tailored to each child’s unique learning style. During Mind Jump children learn in small groups of two or three.

“For many children, learning is not one size fits all. Through an individualized approach to education and small groups Mind Jump helps children reach their maximum potential. This approach is so effective at The Highlands School that we wanted to offer a summer program where other students have the opportunity to get a jump start and flourish throughout the upcoming school year,” said Highlands Head of School Seth Linfield.
