Kelley Kronenberg Adds Seven Attorneys

 Kelley Kronenberg announces the addition of seven attorneys. Alan Swindoll and Christine Soto joins the firm as Partners and Travis BarryAida DenisFelipe Gonzalez, Austin McCoy, and Velicia Simmons join as Associates.

Miami

Soto is a Partner focusing her practice on First Party Property Insurance Defense. Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, Christine worked as an Attorney representing Fortune 500 companies in general liability, premises liability, products liability, and personal injury matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida. Christine received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, cum laude, from Florida International University. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she was a Staff Editor for the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review and a member of the International Moot Court team. She was also on the Dean’s List and received the St. Thomas University School of Law Public Service Award.

Swindoll is a Partner focusing his practice on First Party Property Litigation. Before joining the firm, he worked as an Attorney at an insurance defense firm in Miami, where he represented multinational insurance companies in disputes and litigation. He also has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation.

Swindoll received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy. He then earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While attending law school, he served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Judge Edwin A. Scales III of the Third District Court of Appeal. He also served as an Extern for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.

Denis assists in handling matters related to Probate Litigation, Estate Planning & Guardianship. Before joining the firm, Aida worked as Of Counsel for a boutique firm in South Florida, where she advised on matters related to Trust and Estate Administration, Estate Planning, and Guardianship.

Denis received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Miami. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she served as President of the Caribbean Law Student Association and Managing Editor of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review.

Chicago

Barry handles matters related to real estate and mortgage foreclosure litigation. He also assists banks and other financial service providers with regulatory, enforcement, transactional, and litigation matters. Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, Travis worked at a national law firm, where he represented lenders in real estate matters, including title actions and foreclosure litigation.

Travis received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law, where he was awarded the Benjamin Hooks Distinguished Public Service Award for completing over 200 hours of pro bono work. He was also a Dean’s Merit Scholarship recipient and served as a 1L Student Mentor. enforcement, transactional, and litigation matters.

Fort Lauderdale

Gonzalez assists in handling matters related to Labor & Employment Law. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an Associate Attorney for a boutique firm in Miami handling Labor & Employment cases. He also has experience with personal injury and civil rights matters.

Gonzalez received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Florida International University. He then earned his Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law, where he was an Equal Justice America Fellow and a recipient of the DePaul Diversity Scholarship. He also served as President of the Latino Law Student Association.

Orlando

Simmons assists in handling matters related to First Party Property Insurance Defense. Prior to joining the firm, Velicia worked as a Staff Attorney for the Guardian Ad Litem Program, Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association. She also served as an Assistant State Attorney, prosecuting misdemeanor cases for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Velicia received her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from the University of North Florida. She continued her studies and received a Master of Science degree from Capella University. Velicia then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Florida A&M University College of Law.

West Palm Beach

McCoy assists in handling matters related to First Party Property Insurance Defense and is admitted to practice law in Florida and South Carolina. Before joining the firm, he worked as a Document Review Attorney handling complex litigation matters. He also served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Perry M. Buckner III of the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina.

McCoy received his Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. He then earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Charleston School of Law as a Scholastic Scholarship recipient.
