MAG Capital Partners, LLC acquired Richie Auto Transport, Inc., a logistics and automotive transportation company, in its home state of Texas. Terms of the transaction, which included commercial property in Wills Point, Texas, were not disclosed.
Richie Auto Transport was founded in 1998 by Jimmy and Amy Richie, who grew the firm into a regional leader in new vehicle transportation for some of the world’s largest global car manufacturers.
“Richie Auto Transport’s lean, white-glove approach allows the company to keep costs down and flexibility high, differentiating the firm as a flexible, reliable and cost-efficient service provider,” said MAG Capital Partners Principal, Andrew Gi.
“The fragmented nature of the logistics business was exposed to the world during the government shutdowns in 2020,” stated Dax Mitchell, principal of MAG Capital Partners. “As these disruptions have continued, we have identified what we believe are opportunities to provide workable solutions through investments in the logistical and distributions business.”
