Team Behind Historic Venues Such as Byron’s South End and VanLandingham Estate Will Open 600-Seat Location at 701 Keswick Avenue in Fall 2022
ATCO Properties & Management, along with partner Shorenstein Properties, LLC, announced today that Best Impressions Caterers has finalized a long-term lease to create The Revelry North End, a brand-new 600-seat, 23,000-square-foot special event venue at Camp North End.
Developed by ATCO, Camp North End is a state-of-the-art creative development that is being designed and curated to serve the most innovative companies in Charlotte’s up-and-coming North End Smart District. Select Camp North End buildings, including 701 Keswick Avenue where The Revelry North End will be located, are being developed as part of a joint venture by ATCO and Shorenstein.
Founded in 1989, Best Impressions Caterers specializes in weddings, corporate events, galas, rehearsal dinners, and other marquee events. The company is known for its ability to create unique venues with distinctive architecture, ranging from contemporary to elegant, and from historic to rustic. Its current portfolio includes notable locations such as Byron’s South End, a former knitting mill in the city’s Design District, as well as the historic VanLandingham Estate, a newly renovated American craftsman-style home located in Plaza Midwood.
The company’s new space at Camp North End, set to be its eighth venue in Charlotte, will draw upon the building’s existing architecture and incorporate its steel, wood, and brick features with modern design elements throughout. A major focal point of the new venue will be a 40-foot clerestory window in the center of the space, creating ample natural light. The space is expected to open in the fall of 2022.

Best Impressions Caterers will be located within phase II of the development, which includes the adaptive reuse of 701 Keswick Avenue and 201 Camp Road into Class A office and retail, as well as the addition of new multifamily and a parking garage. Construction on the office, retail and parking garage portions are anticipated to be completed in June 2022, while the multifamily component is expected to begin construction in 2022 and be complete in 2024.
