The Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA), which represents rental housing providers and professional residential services in Maryland, elected new executive leadership for its Board of Directors for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. Sean Organ, area vice president of the Maryland, Central Pennsylvania, and Carolinas’ regions at Morgan Properties, will serve as president; Becky Clise, regional property manager, WPM Real Estate Management, was elected vice president; Steve Weidner, president/CEO of Carpet Consultants, will remain as treasurer; and, Amy Asuquo, director of property management for the Multifamily Division at Continental Realty Corporation (CRC), will serve as secretary.
Organ most recently served as vice president of MMHA’s Board of Directors. He is the area vice president of the Maryland, Central Pennsylvania, and Carolinas’ regions at Morgan Properties where he coaches and develops future leaders, oversees company financials, strategic planning, and executes company initiatives through regional and site teams. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from West Virginia University. Organ is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) candidate, as well as a member of the National Apartment Association (NAA) and Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
Clise, who was elected vice president of MMHA’s Board of Directors, has more than 20 years of experience in the multifamily residential industry. She currently serves as a regional property manager at WPM Real Estate Management. Clise also held a regional marketing and training director position for a portfolio of 3,900 units in three states and has worked for a large REIT managing 960 units in Baltimore. She is active with MMHA and serves on various committees within the organization. She holds a CPM designation through IREM.
Weidner will continue to serve as treasurer of MMHA’s Board, a position he has held for more than 16 years. He is the president/CEO of Carpet Consultants, a company that provides floor selections, designs, installations, and carpet cleaning for the multi-housing industry. Weidner also serves as the vice president of the Mid Atlantic Floor Covering Association’s Board of Directors.
Asuquo joins the Board’s executive committee as secretary. Prior to her role as director of property management for the Multifamily Division, Asuquo has held numerous positions at CRC, ranging from leasing specialist to community manager and regional portfolio manager. She holds a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation from the National Apartment Association and a B.S. from Towson University.
