Damian O’Doherty Interviews Brent Howard, President of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce

As president and CEO of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, Brent Howard works with more than 450 member companies and a 23-member Board of Directors to promote, grow and sustain a diverse and healthy business community that will enrich the quality of life and enhance prosperity in the Baltimore region.

Brent is also president of the Small Business Resource Center, where he works with its two business counselors to aid clients in establishing or growing their businesses in Baltimore County. The resource center is funded with a grant from the Baltimore County Department of Economic Development.

​Brent joined the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce in January 2017 as Director of Membership and was selected as President and CEO in June 2018. He is the staff liaison for the Ambassadors, Business Owners Roundtable and Leads Groups.

Before joining the Chamber, Brent worked at Toyota Financial as a Customer Service Representative. Brent attended Morgan State University and the University of Baltimore with a concentration in political science and digital theory.

Founding partner, Damian O’Doherty is a media executive who represents Fortune 100 companies, NFL athletes, prominent family offices, trade associations, university presidents, master plan developers, and U.S. Governors and Mayors – all in high stakes and crisis communications. Growing up in politics between the Washington and Baltimore beltways, Damian’s style of advocacy combines a D.C. politico savvy with gritty, Baltimore storytelling and machine politics follow-through.
