Gopuff Appoints Sanjay Shah as SVP of North America Fulfillment

PHILADELPHIA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Gopuff, the go-to platform for consumers’ immediate everyday needs, today announced that Sanjay Shah, a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain management, has been named Senior Vice President of North America Fulfillment.

Shah joins Gopuff from Beyond Meat, where he has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2019. Prior to that, Shah served as SVP of Global Energy at Tesla, and also spent time at Dell as an Executive Director where he oversaw supply chain, logistics, engineering, operations, and more.

Previously, Shah spent several years at Amazon as VP of North American Customer Fulfillment, where he was responsible for the operation of existing fulfillment centers, launched more than 100 new fulfillment centers, implemented robotics technology, and achieved structural cost improvements through process and tools automation.

  • Erica Matthews, VP, Strategic Development. Matthews joins Gopuff from Alibaba Group, where she served as the Head of International Corporate Communications. She also served as Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO at PepsiCo, and spent time at ExxonMobil.
  • Quintus Carstens, VP, North America Fulfillment. Carstens joins Gopuff from Beyond Meat where he served as Vice President of Commercialization. He also served as Amazon’s Regional Director, responsible for the Western U.S. cross-dock operations.
  • Dan Beranek, VP, Product – Fresh Food. Prior to Gopuff, Beranek served as the SVP of Product Management at Hagerty, VP Digital at Sweetgreen, Director of Digital Ordering at Starbucks, and as Head of Social Commerce at Target.
  • Jon Feldman, VP, Global Delivery Operations & Strategy. Prior to Gopuff, Feldman spent seven years at Uber, most recently serving as Head of Global Operations Strategy & Planning of Uber Delivery.
