RKW Residential was recognized as one of the fastest-growing multifamily property management companies by Multi-Housing News for the second consecutive year. The firm ranked No. 3 in the publication’s 2021 list. RKW also appeared in MHN’s annual “Top Property Managers” list for the third straight year.
MHN’s Fastest-Growing Multifamily Management Companies ranking is calculated based on the average annual portfolio growth for each management company with at least 20,000 units under management at the end of 2020. RKW posted annual portfolio growth of 25.4% from 2018 to 2020.
For “Top Property Managers,” MHN identifies the top 40 multifamily property managers based on a weighted formula that includes total units and number of properties under management (at the end of 2020), property operations and presence across property sectors. RKW was ranked No. 21 on the 2021 list.
The list notes RKW’s expansion of nearly 3,000 units from 2019 to 2020 and 94.3% occupancy across the company’s entire portfolio. Both third-party managers and owner-operators are included in the rankings.

Each year, the publication conducts extensive research of property management companies across all real estate sectors to determine the most active companies in and around Charlotte. The list is based on total square feet managed.
