Proceeds from the annual vehicle raffle to fund local reseaach, cancer patient lodging and transportation program
MileOne Autogroup has kicked off its annual fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society across its Heritage, Silver Spring and Hall divisions with a raffle for a brand new 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $10 each at MileOne dealerships or from a local American Cancer Society representative now through November 30th.
Since 2000, MileOne has raised more than $4.1 million to support those fighting cancer and to help fund the research necessary to find a cure for cancer. MileOne’s vehicle raffle alone has raised over $2.7 million. This year’s vehicle proceeds will fund the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program in Baltimore and Hampton Roads, which ensures safe car rides to cancer patients to and from treatment.
“Being able to contribute in such an impactful way for those in our community who are in the fight against cancer is very personal for me and my family,” said Scott Fader, chief operating officer for MileOne Autogroup. “Each year that we hold this raffle, I am amazed at how the community comes together to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society.”
MileOne is proud to be one of the top 50 fundraisers for the American Cancer Society in the entire Northeast Region. All of the funds raised by MileOne stay within local communities in one of four ways: transportation for cancer patients, local research, lodging for cancer patients and event sponsorships.
The winner of the raffle will be drawn Wednesday, December 8th at the Hall corporate office by a MileOne executive.
