Michael Maile, senior associate at RS&F, recently graduated from the Maryland Association of CPAs’ (MACPA) 2021 Leadership Academy.
The MACPA Leadership Academy is specifically designed for emerging leaders with five or more years of experience to help them navigate from an individual contributor to a leader in their organization.
“Since beginning my career at RS&F, I’ve been motivated to seek new experiences to help strengthen my leadership skills and further develop an entrepreneurial mindset,” said Maile. “At RS&F, we are invaluable partners to our clients because we approach and guide businesses as entrepreneurs. The MACPA’s Leadership Academy helped me to feel confident as a leader within RS&F and expanded my entrepreneurial thinking skills, collaboration skills and more to prepare me to better serve our clients.”
The leadership academy focused on three key areas:
- Leading yourself
- Leading others
- Leading organizations
A total of sixteen emerging accounting and finance leader participated in the leadership academy to learn the skills needed to take their teams, their careers, and their profession to the next level.
The MACPA’s 2021 Leadership Academy was facilitated by MACPA Director of Development Rebekah Brown, MACPA Chief Communications Officer Bill Sheridan, and Tom Hood, the MACPA’s former CEO and current executive vice president of business growth and engagement for the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.
