Tetavi Closes $20M Funding Round

Tetavi, a Los Angeles, CA-based volumetric technology platform, closed a $20m venture funding round.

The round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from OurCrowd, Nimble Ventures and additional private investors.

The company intends to use the funds to increase its presence in North America, expanding its partnerships and content platform across the U.S. with specific locations in Los Angeles and New York. Tetavi’s Los Angeles studio location will function as a collaborative space for the entertainment industry. The New York location will assist in business development and market outreach.

Founded by Dr. Miky Tamir and Micha Birnboim in 2016, and led by CEO Gilad Talmon, Tetavi is working on highly reproducible hologram creation technology for immersive media, games and virtual content with the aim of completing and popularizing ideal volumetric video capture. The company, which has offices in Tel Aviv, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo, is currently in advanced discussions with major creative artists and production companies for projects anticipated to release in 2022.
