David Nevins Interviews Dr. Sean Duffy, Director of Medical Operations, Concentra

Dr. Sean Duffy, DO, is the Director of Medical Operations for Maryland and Northern Virginia, overseeing clinical care delivery of our medical centers and on-sites throughout the market.

Dr. Duffy completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine after completing his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Duffy served as a physician in the United States Army. Dr. Duffy’s introduction to the practice of Occupational Medicine was during his tour of duty where he served as Battalion Surgeon for the Warrior Transition Brigade.

In 2015, he began his career with Concentra as the Center Medical Director at the Airport Dulles location. He has also served as a Center Medical Director in El Paso, TX. In 2019 Dr. Duffy transitioned back to the Northeast region and was promoted to Director of Medical Operations.

David is a Past President of the Board of Governors for the Center Club and is a former Chairman of the Board of Regents for the University System of Maryland, a position to which he was appointed by the Governor of Maryland. David has chaired the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission and the Maryland Higher Education Loan Corporation, served as President of both the Jewish National Fund and the Towson Business Association and was a member of the PNC Bank board.
