Rudin Announces Five Senior-Level Promotions and Appointment of First-Ever Chief Legal Officer

Samantha Rudin Earls, Michael Rudin and Neil Gupta Elevated to Executive Vice President; Cassie Kulzer and Nick Martin Become Senior Vice President; Andrew Migdon to Join Firm as Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President 

Rudin Management Company, a full-service real estate organization managing the interests of the Rudin Family, one of New York City’s largest private owners, operators and developers of first-class real estate, announced today that five senior professionals were promoted to new roles within the company. Samantha Rudin Earls, Michael Rudin and Neil Gupta were promoted to Executive Vice President, while Cassie Kulzer and Nick Martin are now Senior Vice President. In addition, Andrew Migdon will join Rudin in January 2022 as an Executive Vice President and will serve as the company’s first-ever Chief Legal Officer.

Samantha Rudin Earls joined Rudin in 2007. She focuses on multifamily, development, redevelopment, design and marketing. She played a lead role in the development of 130 W. 12th Street and The Greenwich Lane in the West Village, as well as Dock 72 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Samantha serves on the boards of the Rudin Family foundations, as well as the boards of Roundabout Theatre Company and the Association for a Better New York. Samantha is a proud New Yorker and a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Michael Rudin joined Rudin in 2008 and, together with his sister Samantha, represents the fourth generation to work at the family business. Michael focuses on new developments, capital markets, commercial leasing, sustainability and technology. He also helps lead the family’s alternative investing business, Rudin Ventures. Michael serves on the boards of the Rudin Family foundations, as well as The First Tee of Metropolitan New York and the Aspen Art Museum.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design and Planning with an emphasis in Real Estate from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master’s of Science in Sustainable Real Estate Development from New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate.

Neil Gupta joined Rudin in 2012 and is the company’s Chief Investment Officer. He focuses on new investments and acquisitions, capital markets, business development activities and financial asset management. He also helps to oversee Rudin Ventures. Prior to Rudin, Neil was in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Bank, where he served as Co-Head of Real Estate Private Equity Coverage. Neil serves on the board of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. Neil graduated from the University of Chicago with Honors in Economics and holds an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.

Cassie Kulzer joined Rudin in 2018. She oversees all human resources initiatives including talent acquisition, staff coaching, organizational and leadership development, workforce planning and systems implementation with an emphasis on furthering the firm’s diversity, equity, inclusion and access initiatives.  Prior to Rudin, Cassie served as head of human resources for several entrepreneurial firms, most recently with NewOak Capital.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Fairfield University.

Nick Martin joined Rudin in 2018. He focuses on strategy, external affairs, communications, marketing and business development. Prior to Rudin, he was a senior aide to United States Senator Charles E. Schumer. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University and a Master’s of Science in Real Estate Development from New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate.

Andrew Migdon comes to Rudin from Goldfarb & Fleece LLP, where he has represented the Rudin Family in the acquisition, development, leasing, and financing of office and residential buildings since 2003. Andrew will resign as a partner at the law firm at the end of this year to take a full-time role as Rudin’s first Chief Legal Officer.

Andrew is a Director of The Rudin Foundation and the May and Samuel Rudin Family Foundation and serves as counsel to The Louis and Rachel Rudin Foundation. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard University and graduated from New York University School of Law in 1997, where he served as an Editor of the New York University Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif.
