Everactive Raises $16M Additional Series C

Everactive, a Santa Clara, CA-based technology company that sells batteryless, wireless Internet of Things solutions, raised $16m in a strategic funding.

Backers in the the round, which builds on the Series C financing completed earlier this year – bringing the Series C total funding to over $50m, included 3M, Ericsson, and Armstrong International.

Led by Bob Nunn, CEO, Everactive produces data intelligence for the physical world. Operating without batteries, the company’s always-on wireless sensors deliver continuous cloud-based analytics at a scale not possible with battery-powered devices. Its end-to-end solutions are built upon advances in ultra-low-power circuit design and wireless communication that allow it to power its Eversensors exclusively from harvested energy. The company has developed the required networking and cloud software to deliver a service focused on providing high-value insights from newly generated and self-sustaining data streams.

Everactive Steam Trap Monitoring and Machine Health Monitoring customers include multinational companies such as Anheuser-Busch In-Bev, Colgate-Palmolive, Hershey’s and Merck, as well as several universities and the U.S. Government. The steam trap monitoring solution helps reduce steam loss and associated energy and emissions waste. The machine health monitoring system enables remote condition monitoring to help reduce downtime, improve efficiency and extend asset life.
