Interview with Matthew Reeds, Deputy Director at Baltimore Homecoming

Matthew is a proud lifetime Baltimorean. He is a Christian, husband, and committed to a better Baltimore. He is an alumni of Morgan State University and Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He is currently a Masters in Business Administration Candidate at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, graduating this May.

He has served on various boards including the Board of Regents of Morgan State University and The Morgan State University Foundation. Matthew has become one of Baltimore’s rising young adults in the areas of philanthropy, business, and community service, recently named to HBCU Buzz’s Top 30 under 30 and by the Baltimore Business Journal as a Person on the Move.

In 2019, Matthew launched the Reeds Fund, a Baltimore based non-profit organization that educates, advocates, and liberates families in Baltimore dealing with an autism or sarcoidosis diagnosis. To date, the fund has awarded over $3,000 in scholarships, donated over 300 hours of combined volunteer consultations to families with a family member who has autism, and the community events have attracted over 170 unique Baltimore city residents.
