Ani Paulson based in Charleston, SC, focuses on the analysis and disposition of office/industrial and retail properties with an emphasis on exclusive seller representation. Ani provides her clients access to the largest pool of qualified investors nationally and internationally, creating maximum exposure for their properties and a competitive bidding environment. Prior joining Marcus & Millichap, Ani Paulson has been an investor since 2013 by acquiring franchisees and increasing the net revenues. Ani obtained her B.S. from College of Charleston majoring in International Business with minor in Global Logistics and Transportation.

We sat down with Ani and discussed her role and area of client focus with Marcus & Millichap. “When you are looking for someone to handle your most expensive assets, it’s so important to hire a broker who has a great track record, is with a great firm, and knows what they’re talking about. If you don’t hire the right broker, you may leave hundreds of thousands, or even millions of dollars on the table. Before you hire a broker,” she says, “interview them, call the clients they have worked with and check their endorsements. I often find that investors don’t always follow these steps. Instead, they may hire a broker based on a personal connection, such as having been classmates or are part of their extended family. Don’t go down that road. Do your due diligence because investment decisions are business decisions.”
