Interview with Ali Reza Manouchehri, CEO and Co-Founder of MetroStar

Ali Reza Manouchehri co-founded MetroStar, formerly known as MetroStar Systems, while attending George Mason University (GMU) in 1999. As a serial entrepreneur, he has successfully grown two companies since that first brainstorm in his dorm room.

MetroStar is an information technology (IT) digital transformation company headquartered in Reston, VA, with a primary focus on accelerating mission goals for the federal government. His second company, Zoomph, is a data analytics company disrupting the sport’s world through real-time social metrics on and off the field, court, etc.

MetroStar’s approach to developing and deploying its six-core capabilities and four solution accelerators is tailored with powerful analytics. Innovation and data-backed decisions help MetroStar push the boundaries of the technical and digital solutions they offer their clients.

The unique culture nurtured by Ali, rooted in a focused vision of his people’s needs, has garnered numerous awards for MetroStar, including ten of Computerworld’s Best Places to Work in IT awards. Ali’s work and passion for leadership have also resulted in several accolades and features, including Inc.com, 40 Under 40, and interviews with the Washington Business Journal, Washington Technology, and Forbes Magazine.

Ali supports educational opportunities across local and international communities in his spare time and mentors young entrepreneurs at GMU and other academic institutions.
